I pen down this post for my inquistive friends, to put out answers to the many questions you have had for quite some time now, more so over the last one month.
With H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji having Blessed Mumbai city from 13 - 15 Jan, I was immersed in the preparatory activities, leaving little time for any other activity.
Questions like "Are you promoting Art of Living?" "Why all this chakkar of Babas"........ had become music to my ears... :)
Hmmmm....Frankly speaking, I have no answers, even I do not know WHY....Its just that this is something very beautiful and precious that I have been fortunate enough to receive and would love to have each one of my friends be fortunate enough to be introduced to something so beautiful...
I always remember what my Teacher once told me: A milkman wakes up early morning and goes door to door to provide something that is so precious, and what does he get in return????? A stare from the housekeeper to disturb his sleep....
On the other hand is a bartender, he opens up a shop at 2 am in the night and sits on his arm chair, and people gush in to the shop with money to burn...
The world has been that way, my teacher said, the good has to be taken personally from door to door.
Why the need for a Guru, a Master????...Well I would have been the strongest supporter of this question a few years ago, but not any longer..
A simple way to put this would be: We never question the need of a teacher when we have to learn a new subject in school, neither do we ever question the purpose of a Mother who makes us walk when we are barely 1 year old.....
For something so basic as this we are dependent on a teacher, a guide; how then can we even think of learning about a totally abstract subject called "LIFE" all by ourselves....
Its only a Master who can guide us to answers to questions like, Why am I here, What is the purpose of this birth.......and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found one.
Finally, there were a few people who asked, what do I gain by doing The Art of Living...I tell you, nothing...But you do tend to loose a lot...your worries, sadness, miseries,.......
I guess that should suffice for now :) and for all those eagerly calling me to put up our beloved Guruji's Mumbai visit photographs, rest assured they will be up very soon....
