Paradise on Earth - Kamalashile

A break from the regular MBA routine saw me on a tour to various locations. The week that went by marked the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.
Well this one was just not planned - It suddenly struck me and I took this opportunity to attend an Advance Course in the charming presence of Chaya Anna(Swami Suryapad). For those who dont know Him, Swamiji is pretty much a replica of Guruji(H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji). And for those who dont know the latter, hmmmmm...well all I can say is that it is not very often that the Divine decides to manifest in a human body. We would only be ignorant enough not to recognize this Divinity. :)

Well the location, Kamalashile(30 kms. from Kundapura) was absolutely blissful. We put up in the famous Bramhi Durga Parmeshwari temple.

It rained there not in showers or buckets, but drumfulls of rain. I had heard stories of the rain water entering the temple every year and touching the feet of the Goddess and receding back after that. But little did I know that we would be fortunate enough to actually witness that on the very first day itself. The temple was flooded with water just to get a glimpse of the Goddess. The moment it did so, with full respect the waters started receding back from the temple.

The river used to flow right next to our rooms and it was a treat to the senses to see and hear the water gushing by our side all through day and night. The first day was also marked by celebration on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, where we sang & danced and were soaked in some beautiful knowledge given by Swamiji Himself.
From the next day onwards Part II course and some beautiful scenery to be adored. Here is one of them. An absolute treat to the eyes.

The location was also marked with a cave that had natural stone formations of the Shiva Linga, Garuda and Goddess Durga. As we scampered through the dark caves a thousand bats flew across us....only for the guide to tell us that they were the kind Divine bats and would not harm us....phewwwwww....Thank God for that....:)
Here is the cave entrance...

and that's the waterfall........

At the end of a lovely blissful course of 4 days we were off from Kamalashile..and with Udupi being in near proximity(60 kms), we thought of making a trip to that location.
It has the famous Krishna temple.....

and the Malpe beach....

Many more pics in the photos section on orkut..........

Well as they say, all good things come to an end......Its only the not so good that makes us value the good.....and its called the second year of MBA......:D

Ciao till further updates.
